EUDI Wallet

Also known as: European Digital Identity Wallet, EUDI

The European Digital Identity Wallet — the EU's wallet specification for holding and presenting verifiable credentials, backed by the EUDI ARF.

The European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) is the wallet specification the EU Commission has mandated under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation. Every Member State is expected to offer an EUDI Wallet implementation, and it will be the primary holder-side tool for European citizens to receive, store, and present verifiable credentials — driver's licenses, diplomas, bank KYC attestations, and more.

The EUDI Wallet Architecture Reference Framework (ARF) defines wire protocols, data model constraints, and trust-list mechanisms. It sits on top of W3C VCs, OpenID4VCI for issuance, OpenID4VP for presentation, and did:web / did:key for issuer identity.

LearnCoin is not EUDI-aligned today. EUDI ARF alignment is on the 2026-2027 roadmap — OpenID4VCI issuance, OpenID4VP presentation, and trusted-issuer registration via EBSI are the gating pieces.
